It is always important to note that sometimes planning permission may be required in the UK in order for you to change the use of a building or indeed the land. At Essex Conservatories we have the experience and expertise to assess your chosen conservatory design, along with its location and advise you if we think it will require planning consent from your local authority.
If planning permission is needed, we will prepare and submit plans on your behalf in order to gain the necessary consent needed to start work on your conservatory project.
Most conservatories in England and Wales are usually exempt from needing to put in a building regulation application. However, Essex Conservatories would be able to supply full drawings and submit these on your behalf for approval. Our team of professionals will also ensure that your local authority is notified at each key stage of the installation of your conservatory, thus enabling the work to be completed to everyone's satisfaction.
It really is very important that all approvals are applied for if necessary, this also includes your local Water Board Authority if the proposed build of the conservatory is to be built within 3.0m of a public sewer. Party Wall consent will also be needed if you share a wall with a neighbour that your proposed conservatory will be built on; again this is something that Essex Conservatories can advise you about at the planning stage.
If none of the relevant consents are gained before work commences, this could result in disastrous consequences as a structure can potentially be taken down and the house would have to be returned to its original condition. This is even more important with the HIPS pack required to enable a house to be sold.
